History of the Bungalow Court

The bunglaows were originally built for the nearby studios of the silent film era. While not disturbing the resident ghosts, the cottages have been updated with new bathrooms and kitchens, modern appliances, heating, air-conditioning and wireless Internet access.

Echo Park has enjoyed a colorful Bohemian history. For details, check Wikipedia.org. Today, the Bungalow Court is in a quiet block of small homes with a sidewalk cafe and bakery at the corner. Sunset Bouevard — one mile south — has a mix of old time ethnic restaurants and bodegas side by side with cyber cafes and popular clubs. Undergound fashion shops are a not-well kept secret.

Five 1-Bedroom Bungalows

The Bungalows are professionally managed by VillaWest which specializes in housing entertainment industry travelers to Los Angeles.

Each bungalow has a living room, bedroom, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with tub and shower. The bungalows are small — 400 sq. feet — but ideal for one person, or a couple, for a temporary stay. Small pets are welcome. To accommodate industry people on the go, only three days notice is required to move.
